Maybe Labour could address this by bothering to read their own manifesto. And, here's the crazy bit,  hold on, this will be a wild ride : actually taking steps towards implementing it - it's not hard to imagine that this might prove popular...

I'm not so sure about that. At the moment it is under no overall control with just a Labour leader at the helm. I suspect that this will change and Labour to lose more wards.

agreed.

for ... reasons ... people are frustrated, and even angry. They (we) are likely to protest vote, i'm expecting a few shockers!

if i had to guess, i think it might be a good election for the Greens...

Good guess as that's how I voted as well so I hope so.

The local elections often reflect national feelings, so the Tories are likely to do very poorly, with Labour doing ok.

Labour are likely to do ok, so Labour could take control.

Not so sure about that. In order for the Tories to do poorly they would need to hand control of many council over to Labour. The polls however are predicting that the Tories may lose or gain a few councils but their net total will be around the same which is good news for them given the recent partygate scandal. If that is the case then it shows that some people's ideas about the national public feelings re partygate and Johnson are completely way off the mark.

Labour may do better but basically it will be just reclaiming some of what they once had but its not much of a leap forward.

I believe Labour need to get more votes than they did in the 2018 local elections.

Around that time the Tories were 10% in front of Labour in the voting intention polls, now they are 5%+ behind.
