British Energy Prices

Jo Coburn, the presenter of Daily politics, just said that one British energy company chief executive was paid such a salary, but,  didn't mention either the company or the boss's  name.

The source of the claim is Conservative MP Robert Halfon, chair of the education select committee, speaking on Radio 4’s Today program.

British Gas are sending me an energy bill every 2 months instead of 3.

Anybody else noticed this?/

If you are being billed in that way you will likely be on a higher unit rate, were you aware of this?

Haven't a clue HHR.

Just paid the bill from 3rd April  to  4th June...

Always used to be 3months.

Gas- 1018.71kwh at 5.003 per kwh.

Electric- 433kwh at 23.096 per kwh.

Standing charge is 29.521 a day.

You must be on some form of fix then, once that ends the standard rate for your method of billing is higher than the standard rate for other methods.

I can see the logic in them going 2 monthly though, when I was a student I absolutely hated getting them every quarter as it was a lot to swallow in one go. And energy prices are much higher now, imagine how big a quarterly bill over winter would be for some people if they were billed that way.
