Modern Life Is Rubbish

It's not strange at all, it's exactly what one would expect.

>>We are also false empathisers, who virtue signal how much we care<<

You Leftie authoritarians are exactly that, false empathisers and hypocrites.

You only empathise with people who think like you do.

Empathy for the 4 million secondary school pupils forced to wear masks ?

No.

Empathy for parents being banned from getting pictures of their kids doing special stuff ?

No.

Empathy for people who will be priced out of foreign hols, or cars, or warm houses by Nett Zero ?

No.

I could fill a book with your false empathy.

This was the reaction of another forum moderator to your post about train windows (#1680 above) that you copied onto theirs:

"It feels like what’s needed to be discussed has been discussed by now and all that’s happening now is that the date keeps getting pushed back, so for the time being we’ll put a pause on the thread until there’s further news.
Over and out…!

Haha.

Delayed is as much a leftie as I am a Thatcherite. Or, you are a realist.

Whatever, you are both authoritarians, of that there is no doubt.

The more bans, regulations and restrictions they put on all of us the happier you are.

We know.

And we’re not interested in the sequel either.

>>We know<<

Thanks for admitting it.

You just use the same phrases over and over again as though there were no more words in the English language.

I've already told you in the past, that I have no empathy for you at all and whatever you write just reinforces that.

I have been perfectly honest with you and told you that, I'm not the slightest bit interested in your holidays,  masks, cars, your warm house, or pictures of kids.

You are just a moaning minnie who thinks the world should put you first

You ?

Why do you keep focussing on me ?

It's the VAST majority of people who want :

To be warm.

To fly away on holiday.

To have a car.

To not wear a mask.

To take pics of their kids doing significant things in their lives

etc etc

So, what you actually mean is :

I have been perfectly honest with you and told you that, I'm not the slightest bit interested  in   [other]   people's  holidays,  masks, cars, people's warm house, or [them being able to take] pictures of kids.

Thanks for admitting it.

I don't know what you are talking about where TBH, what is the point of your post ?

Whilst you're on, going by your previous pronouncements, I am assuming you are all in favour of the Jacobite steam trains being cancelled because people have been looking out of open windows at the steam train and/or the Scottish countryside ?

If I am ever being hauled by a steam train the first thing  want to do is stick my head out of the window and watch the loco hauling us. In fact, if one cannot do that, what is the point of it ? It might as well be a diesel on the front as you cannot actually see it (or even hear it once they get rid of all opening windows).

I cant see anyone on the forum objecting to you sticking your head out of a  train window, we can all live in hope, that you'll carry on that particular tradition.

Thanks for admitting it.

But those aren't quite the specific questions you've been asking, are they, and you've removed the context to anticipate the desired response.

Here's what it might look like if you were being a bit more honest or, perhaps, self-aware.

Q: Do you want to wear a mask?

A: Well, I don't want to but I will to minimise risk for myself and others.

Q: Do you want to take pics of your kids doing significant things in their lives at school events?

A: Yes, but I understand that schools have regulations in place to protect vulnerable children so I'll stick to taking photos where I don't run the risk of endangering a child.

Q: Do you want to fly away on holiday with your children during term time?

A: I'd like to, because it's likely cheaper, but I don't want to take my child out of school if it will affect his/her education.

You're very fond of misrepresenting people by stating that someone's said something, or agreed with something, when they clearly haven't.  It's a really bad habit that you should knock on the head.

My Bold in red:

IF YOU QUOTE ME,  DO NOT CHANGE THE WORDS I HAVE WRITTEN,  IN ANY WAY AT ALL

QUOTE ONLY EXACTLY AS I SAY

SURE SIGN YOU ARE LOSING THE DEBATE.

My words mean exactly what they say in plain English and you don't get to assign different meanings to them.

Were you the biggest cheat in your school ????????

Ah the old 'vast majority'. And yet this vast majority doesn't extend to Sheffield forum.

1. To be warm.

No one is preventing that.

2. Fly away

Flights are still happening

3. Car

Cars are still a thing

4. No masks

No longer common place but some still wear them

5. Photos of kids

Photography isn't banned.

So, no. I don't get my jollies out of being authoritarian. I get my jollies out of you crying about everyday normal occurrences.

The socialist West are like the frog in a pot of water on the stove.

Doesn't notice the temperature is warming, until it's too late.

The "new normal", with everybody clapping, and saying stop crying about it, get used to it, and move on!  :)

And,  unless somebody can turn down the heat! :)

But who want's to?
