And I'm not on 'Effin Facebook, do you not actually read these posts ?

but that did not stop you circulating a womans FB post on the covid thread in order to speculate the following.

you commented................

Has this woman got a personality disorder of some kind being so bothered about virtue signalling that she is, apparently, going to continue wearing a mask until there are zero Covid deaths (so that'll be forever then).

Alternatively she could just be pig ugly :

you've constantly demonstrated an ugly negativity, sadly tolerated by the Mods here.

So you will know that the hysteria being whipped up by people like you is making kids actually less likely to get help from passing adults and increasing the danger they are in :

Child safety laws mean adults 'scared to approach children'
https://www.theguardian.com/society/2008/jun/26/childprotection.children
Adults are afraid to interact with other people's children because they fear being labelled a paedophile, according to a report published today by the thinktank Civitas.

The report, Licensed To Hug, calls for regulation and vetting to be relaxed because the "dramatic escalation of child protection measures has succeeded in poisoning the relationship between the generations".

In the past, the report says, adults would have routinely helped children in distress or rebuked those who were misbehaving but now think twice about the consequences. Instead, there was now "an atmosphere of mistrust".

Absolutely #2

It is inescapable that the same people crying out for more draconian restrictions during the Covid nightmare are usually the same people doing that about much else in life.

And just like with Covid, there will be  a price to pay for all those draconian edicts, see above.

I work with children, families and you do have to watch what you do,  say to kids. There is a fear of being called a peado, people don't think the same, see, hear the same

Do you know much about the internet because your arguments are indicating you do not actually know that much.

Assuming the child is not named, so Google can find the text, the chances of anyone finding a random picture of anyone is minuscule.

That is absolutely not the case. Kids get found all of the time in that way. There will almost certainly be parents banned from contact with their kids at  mini Justin's school. Kids who have parents with court orders preventing contact. It is commonplace, sadly. Some of those parents will be looking for their kids.

So. How many abused kids are you willing to tolerate in order to photograph mini Justin at sports day?

It is refreshing to see so many people who understand how important this is.

There is a good variety of posters from a variety of ideologies who can see why schools rightly ban photography at many events.

I'm going to dip out of this thread now, there really isn't much more to add and I'm aware that I'm just feeding Justin's troll response.

Everybody has to be protected against the evil folks that live down the street. Criminals, paedos, rapists, abusers, malnutritioned obese, racists, car drivers, cyclists, .......... and those who offend by making mean personal comments.

There's a line up to get those jobs in government.

But the costs and resources it takes to regulate and mitigate every risk to every person in society is endless.

Hence, your spiralling, "unsustainable" National Debts, which you are just kicking down the road to generations unborn.

In a perfect socialist society, there would be one "minder" for every family.

Matter of fact in repressive, overregulated societies, they have neighborhood "volunteers" to report any breach of government dictatat.

So, are there really any less evil Criminals, paedos, rapists, abusers, malnutritioned obese, racists, car drivers, cyclists, .......... and those who offend by making mean personal comments, than there always were?

And has your society evolved, to where such measures are not needed? Why is that?

Accord to all reports, humankind is better off than at any time in history!

Time for a new look at life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I found mine, and I'm getting back there today.  Hope you find yours.

But judging from what I read here, I have no hope for you!

I can certainly agree with this......

"More restrictions and more rules, no matter how disproportionate 'to keep us safe' are good and I cannot see  downside".

Yes, very blinkered.

You don't care about others you just care about yourself.

That's an easy comment to make, it's BS of course, but I hope it makes you feel better.

I saw a child seemingly in distress in the street a few months ago and was hesitating whether I should get involved. Fortunately the mum turned up just as I was deciding. I think I would have done anyway, but it worried me I should think like that. I can fully see how many people would just walk on....

Your posts suggest otherwise.

It's very worrying to see how  many people are prepared to accept draconian restrictions on their lives, which they would never have accepted just a few short years ago, for risks that are never quantified, because of something "which could conceivably happen".

Worse still, anyone opposing this madness is labelled "selfish".

The parallels with the Covid over reaction  (which we are about to start paying for, ironically) are stark.

See above.

In my experience people accusing others of being selfish want to look in the mirror.
