Shipping Containers Coming To Fargate

Giving them away then

I'm seriously thinking of bidding for one of these containers, I reckon one would fit snugly in the beer garden at "Padders Bar"

Maybe a sauna or a gym, or just a relaxing hideaway in which to dodge escape the prying eyes of certain nosey customers..

The atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights can get a bit a hectic.

A stripping shipping container would benefit the needs of some of our clientele.

I'll have to give it some thought.

Looks like the independent review feels the same as the vast majority of people who commented on it

The report said the construction had "failed as the usual and defined procurement processes were not followed" and there was "poor or non-existent" financial monitoring.

It added: "The lack of controls and poor governance arrangements led to poor decision making and ultimately the project did not succeed."

It found that the "head of service ... did not have dedicated specialist skills, support and resource".

The report also highlighted a "significant amount" of senior management and political leader "churn" during the project, which it said had resulted in "a lack of evidenced governance, decision making and handover/continuity reporting".

You didn't need that report to high-light what we already knew - plus the bits it doesn't mention - at least according to what is in the BBC link.

Quelle surprise!

I wonder if Project Lead, Ben Brailsford or Executive Director of Operational Services, Ajman Ali are still trousering their salaries?

Despite squandering nearly £2 million of public money I'm yet to hear that anyone is intending to resign or has been sacked.

No doubt someone from SCC will respond with 'Lessons will be learned' or 'Expectations of the project failed to materialise'.

Can’t remember his name but one of the councillors involved retired . The one who excitedly said on Calendar “ look it’s got a toilet “

No, I didn't think so either...

No wonder Sheffield is way behind other cities (and a laughing stock) with this shower in charge.
