Hmmm...

I'm getting a bit fed up with all this SCC bashing!

Have any of you ever installed a shipping container in your back garden?

No?

Well until you have, you're in no position to tell SCC how it should be done! :hihi:

( I just read something similar to that on here)

Well, yes I've installed 3 shipping containers up to now. Not in my back garden but then again Fargate isn't exactly someone's back garden.

I'd cut them some slack if they were the first council to do this.

But they're not. Newcastle and London and others have done this.  You'd think they'd have a bit of foresight to speak to the councils or companies like STACK to ask what sort of issues and obstacles they'd have to overcome.

I would imagine there will have been at least one "fact finding " visit somewhere (all expenses paid of course).

But.... what facts did they 'find'?

I believe it started in the local "spoons" then went upmarket till they fell over then got an Uber home - but I could be wrong 🙂

The Star are now suggesting that the containers could be dismantled in the new year. I wonder if it will actually open before it closes...

Even the news is Pythonesque ...  Taken down before being started apparently, Four Yorkshiremen sketch lives on

'A contractor working on the £15m revamp of Fargate said they had been told it would be taken down in the New Year, well before they started the project in March'

Perhaps Keith Lard could help
