Guest sibon
There were similar protests, and film bans about The Life of Brian and about The Last Temptation Of Christ. I’m amazed that Cineworld have caved in, they should have used some of their vast profits to hire security. That said, I’m no fan of religious nutjobs dictating what we can and can’t see. They can’t intimidate Sky Cinema though and I guess that this film will end up there, with a record audience.

Dogmatic religious certainty is, in my view, a form of mental illness, and who wants a bunch of mentally ill people dictating what everyone else can or can’t do? (unless we are talking about politicians running the country, in which case, it’s perfectly acceptable) What people choose to believe is absolutely their own business; but, it stops being just their own business, when they act coercively or negativity impact on other people. From the one clip I saw, the crowd could certainly be described as intimidating, Edited June 9, 2022 by Waldo Correcting typo.
