Julian Assange To Be Extradited

Recommended Posts

As the title says, Journalist Julian Assange is to be extradited to the USA.

Disgusting.

He uncovered  cover ups, and  told the truth. He made people aware of what's going on in high places in our name. He's a commonwealth citizen and should be receiving our protection.

Lots of people appreciate his work. I hope there are large protests to support him.

What is disgusting is the amount this foreigner has cost the British taxpayer over the many years he's been a wanted man.  Hopefully the ECHR wont prevent him finally facing justice.

They want to make an example of him because he embarrassed them by exposing what was going on, and questioned their moral highground.

For that he might well spend the rest of his life in a US jail.

That's hardly Julian assange's fault.

The UK government should have given him asylum in the first place, and it would have been avoided.

That's the subject of debate.

He revealed corruption, abuse of power and skulduggery in high places, namely the whitehouse administration which they were covering up, therefore he blew the whistle on 'secrets,' and can be officially tried as a 'traitor.'

Maybe he shouldn't have fled here to escape the rape charges then.

The charges were trumped up in order to get him to Scandinavia from where he could be extradited. He cooperated with the lawyers from Sweden and was happy to face the charges as long as the case was tried in Britain. All the charges were dropped.
