I thought that too. Not the top venue bit, obviously.

 

Maybe the ground shrank in the rain.

 

Or, maybe people booked tickets hoping their side would get there and didn’t turn up when they didn’t.

If your side doesn't get there your tickets become void, that's how it worked out in the Men's tournament.

What a brilliant game of football at Bramall Lane tonight and what an atmosphere. The result should prove such a fillip for the women's game. Not been to Bramall Lane for a few years now but those folks who were lucky enough to witness it will certainly remember it for a very long time. Well done to Sheffield and SUFC for putting our city on the map.

Simple really. Because some rows at the front were blocked off for security and others were designated for the worlds media the actual capacity for the game was 28900 max hence the actual attendance was a couple of hundred less therefore a full house
