Shed 7, James, Sam Fender, Kasabian, Madness, Coral, Vaccines, Little Man Tate, Sports Team, Reverend and The Makers plus loads and loads of others...

Can't complain at the price of £110 with that line up. That's why it sold out early. You can easily pay £50 to see one band these days and very often a lot more.

Let's hope the suns out.

I wouldn't pay 50p to see any of  that lot mentioned. :hihi:

Tramlines was 'conceived' to bring trade into the city centre during the summer holidays, because the students were no longer about. It was free, there were fringe events all over the city, and everybody got a piece of the action. Now it is in a suburb, with a charge of £110 - and here is the worst bit - once you enter, you cannot leave and return, meaning no trade for the local businesses who have to endure the weekend, with many taking less than a normal  weekend.

can you give the cource that you got that info from about leaving the arena?

Tramlines Fringe

Clashfinder (simple listings) :  https://clashfinder.com/m/tramlinesfringe2022/?user=0w7sm0.xp

Official programme produced by exposed magazine: https://www.exposedmagazine.co.uk/fringe-at-tramlines-2022/the-fringe-at-tramlines-2022-official-programme/

-------------------------------------------------

A little thing to note - Dorothy Pax are unable to host an outdoor stage by their bar at Victoria Quays so are now hosting their event in Heeley People's Park, so this year instead of CanalLines it is Pax in the Park. They will have an outdoor stage with free entry, bar and food vendors. Their festival finishes at 9pm which is about the time the nearby White Lion pub have a band on (not part of Tramlines Fringe, they have free gigs every weekend).

You can easily get down to Heeley by bus - routes 10, 10a, 20, 24, 25, 43, 44 and X17 all drop off at Heeley Bridge near Ponsfords furniture store.

Can I ask a practical question about travelling through the area this weekend - what time does it actually start? I have to get to North Sheffield on Saturday and its a trip that usually involves going up the A61 Penistone Rd, is this shut at any point this week, likely to be very busy at certain times?

Middlewood Road and Penistone Road get closed for a period post event to allow the crowds to leave safely. This is about 10pm Fri/Sat and 9pm Sunday.

All the information on road closures, parking restrictions etc are on this document https://tramlines.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Residents-Parking-Traffic-Management-A0.pdf

The festival is open from midday each day, parking is limited and use of public transport is encouraged so hopefully Penistone Road shouldn't be too bad (not like on a SWFC match day).
