It's very naive to think that people don't play the system. The fact that some are referred by 'someone' is not the killer fact you think it is.

 

Everyone knows inflation is a problem, it doesn't need to be decorated with the flowery use of hearsay in the press. That's the point. It's a narrative, just like the starving nurses story, that pops up over and over again in lefty circles.

 

If you read that story and believe millions of people are turning up in asda with exactly £30 in their pockets, you need to start being more sceptical about newsfeeds.
