Governments Cost Of Living Payment.

Apparently a friend of mine qualified and didn't even know.

First he knew was he received a payment in his bank on the 14th. He had no idea what it was so enquired with the bank and they told him.

Anyway, he rang me this morning and said that hes received another identical amount with the same reference. 

I'll be ringing around on Monday for him as he says this must be a mistake and it'll need paying back so keep an eye on your  accounts for unexpected payments.

When that happened a few months ago, the council just take it back with council tax payments.

I just ignored it.

This says they will be marked as dwp Cost of living or somesuch, so you know it's official. Most should only receive 1 payment

I presume if you get 2 they May say ignore it and just not pay another in October?
