Anyone know the capacity of these “ buses”? Are they electric cos green eco Marxists will be cross! If not will they have to pay for caz when that comes in?

In this article it says that Councillor Fox says they will be Euro 6.

The original article linked in post #1 of this thread says that funding has been secured for one of them from the government’s zero emission bus fund, which means the fleet will eventually be part electric when it arrives.

When it arrives. If the operator uses its fleet, as I suspect they are going to have to do initially, then Cllr. Fox is correct - New deisel PSV vehicles have been Euro6 compliant for a while.

Hmmm...

Not wishing to be pedantic but...
... all references in that report are in the singular.

That is, nowhere in your link or the opening post link, does it say that there will be more than one bus...
... so it's a bit presumptuous to refer to it as a 'fleet'! :hihi:

Its a 16 minute circular journey schedule to operate every 10 mins. So rather obviously there will be at least two buses.

Yep, but you're assuming that...

... I'm just pointing out that nowhere does it say there will be more than one! :suspect:

You mean the poorly written Examiner/Yorkshire Live article?  Aye wouldn't pay too much stock to crappy local journalism tbh.

Nope - the quoted article was the press release issued on the Sheffield Council site, on behalf of the so-called SYCMA.

Ha! Utter garbage then all round.

But as said quite clearly it has to be at least two buses, unless the laws of physics are to be rewritten.

Agreed - utter garbage, and yes there will need to be a minimum of two vehicles - which may be OK for the Sunday service, but don't think that will be sufficient for the Mon-Sat service, but we will see.
