Train Sheffield to Liverpool £18 one way less than 2 hours.

Yes, the issue remains how do you get back, when the show ends close to midnight, without going spending hours in an all night bar or casino.

You cant even get back to Southport after midnight on the train and that is in the same county.

Taxi £150 when booked.

Edit,  ... Anyone know what they are going to charge for EU flights that week Liverpool and Manchester? £150 usually gets you return to western EU that time of year.

Looks to have been a bit of a poisoned chalice with three countries pulling out allready due to the soaring costs

TBF they would have pulled out no matter where it was held, the issue seems to be Russia not being there so countries being asked for more to plug the gap. If anything if it was in Ukraine others likely would have pulled out due to security issues anyway.

Still, 37 confirmed on the list, its only 2 fewer than last year, its hardly a disaster.

There's talk of later trains, especially since the scousers have been upping their prices for hotel and B&B rooms.

Hotel owners of any city where & when a major event comes to town up their prices for hotel and B&B rooms. It's generally how things work.
