I dismantled a 8-6 heavy duty shed and bought a new one last year....

Took the rotting wood to the dumpit, and saved the good pieces...

I've now got enough wood to keep me warm for a couple of years....

If only I'd got somewhere to burn it....

Just bought a bunch of slow burn pillar candles and 2 boxes of camping stove gas.

Hopefully that should see us through the inevitable power outages so we'll still be warm, have light and be able to cook.

Or how about we just let Putin take Ukraine over, everyone becomes his mate again and the worldwide price will likely plummet again?

 

Lets be honest, how many people actually care about Ukraine, hand on heart? I certainly dont, and I especially dont when its going to make my outgoings rise at a ridiculous rate. Yes this is selfish but I think its time to be now.

That's effectively increasing the VAT rate ... resulting in more inflation, recession, companies going under, increased consumer costs, it's all a bit circular, you take it off the power bill, and pay it somewhere else.

 

Doesn't fix the core problem, too many countries paying over the odds for the same resource.
