And, before you mention it, I'm not sitting in the garden with a brazier.

Not good but better than £170 It isn't that simple as I said in an earlier comment, most people are not that wasteful.

I mean he's a nice enough guy and he does know his stuff but he's taking all this a bit to heart. There's not alot that he personally can do, I'm just worried he'll have a breakdown. He is clearly worried, which is much more than our zombie government is doing. Fair play to him. Edited August 26, 2022 by HeHasRisen

The_DADDY
Just bought a bunch of slow burn pillar candles and 2 boxes of camping stove gas. Hopefully that should see us through the inevitable power outages so we'll still be warm, have light and be able to cook. 30 minutes ago, Padders said: I dismantled a 8-6 heavy duty shed and bought a new one last year.... Or how about we just let Putin take Ukraine over, everyone becomes his mate again and the worldwide price will likely plummet again? Lets be honest, how many people actually care about Ukraine, hand on heart? I certainly dont, and I especially dont when its going to make my outgoings rise at a ridiculous rate. Yes this is selfish but I think its time to be now. Edited August 26, 2022 by HeHasRisen 1

That's effectively increasing the VAT rate ... resulting in more inflation, recession, companies going under, increased consumer costs, it's all a bit circular, you take it off the power bill, and pay it somewhere else. Doesn't fix the core problem, too many countries paying over the odds for the same resource. Edited August 26, 2022 by fools
