Prepare the ingredients and put in the cooker before you go to bed and it's ready the next day (almost). Don't be tempted to put herbs in at the start as they can be overwhelming and bitter if cooked too long. Don't be put off by fools who say they don't use less energy to cook either! Imagine If a device was freely available, that allowed you to quantify your energy usage from different sources. That would be a handy tool, instead of guessing.
