Jomie
Just to clarify - during gender reassignment surgery the ‘vagina’ is nothing more than a cavity created by inverted scrotum. Prior to surgery careful hair removal needs to be done because it is very painful if it regrows after inversion. Obviously it can’t be removed then. The body treats it as a hole or wound and tries to heal it so it has to be dilated every day to keep it patent. The penis is resected and also inverted. The patient therefore retains some (most) of his natal genitalia. Externally it may look similar but it is actually a faux vagina. The patient retains the prostate gland. The surgery does not turn a male into a female and the surgeon will probably make this clear when the patient signs the consent form. A gender recognition certificate does allow the holder to have documents changed to display the sex associated with their acquired gender but this is for legal purposes only. It does not mean that they have literally changed sex and the EHCR guidance reflects this. Sex is a protected characteristic. Is Eddie Izzard on the Labour Party all women short list? If so, as a man he has no right to be there. Edited September 27, 2022 by Jomie

It just shows hat a minefield all women shortlists are, or indeed positive discrimination altogether. BTW, I though all women shortlists were now deemed illegal ? And rightly so, they're discriminatory as well as patronising, not that they helped Labour get a female leader (much less a female PM) anyway. Surely her "policies" are that of the Labour Party. She cant really have much say in the matter. Edited September 28, 2022 by HeHasRisen

It's not all about the party.

prince al
If your sexuality is subjective, can your age also be changed? Can I legally say that I am 21 again?
