Eddie Izzard - Potential Sheffield Lab Mp?

I reckon he'll be the MP for Sheffield Central in the end as most people there will be bowled over by the novelty of a national celebrity.

From today's 'i' newspaper.   "Russell Crowe has voiced his support for Eddie Izzard as he tweeted, "Go on, Eddie.  No brighter mind, no bigger heart.  What an amazing opportunity for Sheffield.""

Wonder of Mr Crowe is thinking of a move up top from down under?

If he is selected, he will win .

A certainty, though I wonder what the numbers will be; not that it really matters much beyond curiosity as long as there's a win.  I saw reference to Izzard being a 'Blairite' and not a friend of Jeremy, which, if true, I doubt will play well with the young and student demographics that would otherwise be generally expected to support a trans candidate.

Haven't really been paying attention, and the campaign website is rather light on information beyond the usual platitudes (as might be expected at this stage), so I wonder which Labour niche the potential new member for Sheffield Central will settle in to.

What a lovely tribute. Who'd have thought Russell Crowe even knew Sheffield existed.

He's right about Eddie though.
