Eddie Izzard - Potential Sheffield Lab Mp?

Recommended Posts

Nothing against Abtisam Mohamed, but once again Sheffield has missed the best chance it ever had of getting Sheffield on the map with Paul Mason. He has all the contacts in Westminster, knows how the system works, and how to get things done. He won't sink into oblivion on the back benches.

The North should not be saddled by yet another aging Trot, journo, academic, Londoner(since 1988) like Mason parachuted in on us. He could try one of the many seats available in his county of birth.

At 65 at the next GE he is too old to start.

Both Tories and Liberals have benefited in several seats from not having a local Labour candidate to face.

Labour need a new generation of MPs.

Anyway it is bye bye Central as the Electoral Commission have tweaked the border from the backwall to the road in front.

Looks like Sheffield is going down agian like the Belgrano. Its not like our council to knock a good idea into the brink. Another coffin on the list of Sheffield Airport and HS2. Losers!

Eh? What on earth are you on about? MP candidate selection has cack all to do with local authorities.

Unless this is an attempt at sarcasm.

Wont get very far - the Greens have owned that seat of late. A near 20k majority.

Hopefully not - but the Greens 'antics' in Brighton & Hove have seen them fall out of favour - at least on the city council. Wonder if that will have any effect?
