Their cause is off course totally correct - but it’s also not plausible anymore - so we’ll just carry on until ultimately there’ll be nothing left for anyone in the future.

In 50 years time, people will look back and wonder why they weren't taken more seriously.

The world as we know it could not manage without oil......The wind powered turbines require frequent oil changes or they would seize up,All of the worlds transport systems would seize up without oil to lubricate bearings etc.there would be no nylon stockings!!!!!No tarmac for the roads ,no plastic etc.So these people are nothing better than ignorant trouble makers!

The basic idea of why they are doing it makes sense, but the way they are trying to get the message across is just madness and will not garner them much public support.
You can't superglue yourself to a road, inconvenience the general public and expect them to accept it.

I remember seeing a YouTube video of one of these protest groups trying to do something similar with trains, and eventually passengers just came out and pulled them off the roof.

I think you'll find what the Just Stop Oil people want to end is the burning of oil or oil derivative products. It's true that oil has lots of other users, which is a good reason to preserve it for those instead of burning it and thereby using it all up.
