They are still loonies

Are you a member of uninsulate Britain? Or of leave Britain as insulated as it is now?

What is your objection to putting resources into creating better insulated homes?

When I was a youth my dad was pretty smug when he fitted 2 inches of rockwool in our loft. Nowadays there will be a foot thick of it or more. Council houses are well insulated and a couple of years back DIYers could actually buy discounted insulation cheaper than the building trade could. So just where are these badly insulated houses? Chances are older properties are as well insulated as they can be short of demolishing them and rebuilding to modern spec. As for protesters, we’ve had cretins disrupting essential supplies and emergency vehicles during a pandemic. Now we have more idiots showing off when people just want to tank up and get to work. With the possibility of us being pushed into WW3 the line between the right to protest and the actions of fifth columnists is wearing very thin IMO.

Can a moderator send that to Bletchley Park for deciphering?

I’ve just bought a house to do up. Until recently, it had an old lady living in it. I mention that just to point out that it is far from derelict, but there’s work to do.

Almost every house on my street has single glazed bay windows.  Mine is no exception. I’m going to get  the sash windows double glazed shortly.

I’m also just about to renovate my ground floor. When I do, I’ll stick in under floor insulation which will stop a massive amount of heat loss.

I’ve just finished draught proofing my doors and windows.

There are millions of houses across the country that could be better insulated. Often at a fraction of the cost of installing solar panels, for example.

If you don’t want WW3, I’d suggest that energy efficiency is quite an important thing.

Wasn't the leader of insulate Britain living in a draughty, un-insulated home himself?
