Good Specsavers Alternative?

Been to Specsavers ( I am changing spectacles every 2 years, deal with 2 for one glasses) and this year they gave me quote for £ 865..in 2020 was £370.  What are good alternatives? Is Boots any good?

I get my eyes tested at Boots for £25 and then i buy my glasses online

The last place i bought my glasses was at https://www.glassesdirect.co.uk/

They offer some incredible bargains 👍

I've tried online glasses sales; there's a few of them that do sell quality products at reasonable prices. I get it, no shops, no rents, less staff, wages, etc. But when it comes to entering my exact prescription details (the last one I had done at Asda) it's a bit of a minefield to me, I never know if I've put it in right. Then a while back a pair of specs came that just were not fit for purpose. So something went wrong either at my end or theirs. They refunded without quibble quickly too, so maybe they're used to it. I'd like to get glasses online, if there was a way of getting a verified prescription to them accurately.

Stick with Specsavers, just don't buy the overpriced designer frames as that is what you seem to be doing.

I wouldn't use boots, the eyelets for the laces don't let much light in
