The Republicans don't want to actually stop illegal immigration. Who would work below minimum wage levels on their farms, etc? They just want to be able to complain about it for electoral purposes.

Don't forget the millionaire Democrats and celebs, with their mutli mansions, yachts, and private jets.

Pelosi has her Napa Valley Winery Estate, or does she pick her own grapes? Obama has his rich liberal playground mansion in Martha's Vineyard.

They practice the fine art of "social distancing" too.

From their constituents!  :)

Republican want Immigration Reform too.

Reform that include some right wing stuff, like effective border control, and respect for law and order. Seems to be missing right now!

Your TIME article says they will make a big noise about being tough on illegal immigration but be deliberately vague on what they might actually do. It doesn't actually say they recognise a need favour significant immigration.

Whilst the other link does have bits in favour of some immigration, doesn't have any quotes from Republican politicians newer than a decade ago. Even their newest 'news' link is from 2013. Fair to say, if it's not been updated for a decade it's unlikely to be indicative of current Republican policy.

As per altus's response, such an important policy position they haven't thought about it at all, for over a decade. :?

Also, the notion that any Trump cheerleader could possibly claim "respect law and order", at this stage...

...I mean, simply priceless!

Who're you trying to kid? :hihi:

You have to be a special kind of special to believe a word of that!

Lol

Such "special" nonsense doesn't deserve a serious response, but I'm having fun here, so what the heck!

Well we've seen Biden's Immigration Policy in action for the last 2 years. :)

Republicans.

See:
National Immigration Forum
GOP Immigration Bill a Promising Step for Bipartisan Reform

WASHINGTON, D.C. — "Today Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Florida) is introducing an immigration reform bill called the Dignity Act..."

Deep sixed by Pelosi :)

But if they win Congress in November, they'll hit the ground running.

Note:

For you "special" folks, "GOP" refers to the Republican Party.

Maybe that's why you missed it?  :)

Again, right wing pundit says Republican policies needed, but it turns out it's more of exactly the same as last time (that didn't work), and ignores the real issues as per my previous post.

What's laughable is your assertion that there is no border crisis in the U.S.  :)

To whit:

"the "crisis" part is wholly a political construct".

Go with that!  :)

So nothing more to discuss.

So, you can't substantiate your claim re: Pelosi?

You mean that The Dignity Act which was introduced by Republican Congressional Representaive Maria Elvira Salazar, the didn't make it through Pelosi's majority Democrat Congress? :)

She didn't actually stand behind the Republican Reperesentive ( a minority, by the way) and tear it up on prime time national television, ike she does with Presidential State of the Union Adresses she doesn't like!  :)
