Do you really think that? I'll go with people local to the area saying this has been going on for ages the severity of it this time was what made the (minor) headlines, normally is ignored. Can anyone remember the Asian sweatshops in Leicester that were exposed during the scamdemic? Were these places shut down, were any arrests made etc, I expect not. Nothing naive about it. There hasn't been any problems like this in Leicester before- you have Hindu far right moving into the area who use social media to attract others even if it originally started over a game! I know the area well and even if there is tension its not raised its head like this. There are probably many other cities/ towns where ppl might hold different views etc but let and live. That's how things should be. What's going to be challenging for Leicester is the city gears up for the Diwali lights and has a fantastic open week for everyone to enjoy local culture, food, music etc Not sure how that will happen now. It was expected soon.

We may need to see the partition of Leicester for the same reasons. That was a roaring success wasn’t it ? people who had co existed for centuries turned on each other and millions were killed. Guest ThaBoom
People need to bear in mind that the trouble in Leicester isn't between Hindu's in general but Hindutva- a hard core nationalist group. Basically the same ppl who govern India under the BJP party. Hindus and Muslims have no issues in UK even in Leicester. The hard line Hindutva members are ones creating the problems and tension.
