Rising sentiment for Ukraine negotiations threatens neoconservative influence

"A recent poll shows that 57 percent of likely voters support the U.S. pursuing negotiations as a possible way to end the war in Ukraine, even if it means making concessions to Russia. This approach resembles the dual-track strategy President Kennedy employed to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, the last time the U.S. and Russia were on the brink of nuclear war. Similarly, background diplomacy was the critical element in President Eisenhower’s strategy to end the Korean War in 1953."

Russia and Ukraine reached an agreement in April until Bojo went to Ukraine to put a stop to it.

The original source I found earlier in the year is no longer available 🙄

Good ol Google doing some 'cleaning' I guess.

The one I've linked to should do though.

Profile: Who are Ukraine’s far-right Azov regiment?

The far-right neo-Nazi group has expanded to become part of Ukraine’s armed forces, a street militia and a political party.

I'm afraid your lame argument...........

"I have been to Ukraine a lot of times and I have never seen any sign of the nazis you are talking about. I don`t suppose the people who write the articles you read have either"'

......... doesn't carry quite as much weight in the real World!  :)

But everybody is entitled to their opinion  :)

All yours is copy and paste other peoples thoughts. Mine is fact.

I accept you may not have seen any Neo Nazis in the Ukraine.

I give a little more credence to the Reports of The Guardian, AlJazeera and Reuters, who have  correspondents there, with their contacts and access to government and military sources.

(They also have photographs) :)

Your Al Jazeera article had their size estimated at 900 - and that's days after Russia's invasion before they were holed up under the Azov steel plant, so there's not likely many of them left.

How many neo nazis does Russia have in its Wagner Group?

So basically. We have two Putin fanboys on here. One just parrots the Kremlin line and enjoys a minor celeb status in our little backwater. The other makes statements about “feeding the bear and the bear will come back for another bite “. His solution to the problem is just to actually keep feeding the bear by Ukraine seceding territory. IIRC around the same time he was predicting that Poland would be next and I was predicting that Russia would fail due to its crap logistics. Fast forward to the present and indeed Russias logistics have proved to be spectacularly s—t and its other military failings have been mind boggling. Meanwhile Poland is on course to have one of the most powerful tank armies on the planet. Oh and the Russians are currently getting the malleting I predicted and their commanders are either dead or have run away. The description for Putins special military operation translates literally in the British Army to “Complete S—tshow “. Don’t believe me then ask a squaddie.
