So What Is In His Mini-Budget?

Recommended Posts

Borrowing money when interest rates are low to spend on government infrastructure projects makes sound financial sense.

Borrowing money when interest rates are rising, to mainly give to rich people who don’t need the extra income is economic stupidity and electoral suicide .

Payback for this stupid decision will be brutal for the Tories in about 2 years

I agree interest rates are likely to rise again in the UK.  The point is global factors are affecting the UK in an unprecedented way meaning it's unfair to blame the new chancellor for what he announced last week.  I will add the long time it took to replace Boris Johnson didn't do our economy any favours because uncertainty isn't good especially in the current climate.

This is hilarious when you think back to how the Conservatives tried constantly to put the blame on Labour for the World Economic banking crisis of 2008

Gives you another reason to complain about The Tories

I don't need to complain about the Tories, plenty of others are doing it for me.

But no, I'm not happy at all.

I want to see some help go to those that really need it. Totally let down. They're the one's I feel sorry for.

The anti Tory losers and the media are quick to criticise the Tory government but the Bank of England have been too slow to increase UK interests rates so arguably deserve criticism.

I am sure Tory loyalists will try and blame anyone except themselves. The government and the BoE met only a few days ago.

It's good for British businesses selling good to the USA and other countries who pay in dollars.

I will just add the Euro has fallen steeply against the dollar as well as the Japanese and Chinese currencies.

Except the Americans have refused to do a trade deal with us....

Do you think footballers who are paid massive amounts should have the amount reduced so that the clubs could use the money to reduce  entrance fees to football matches  and so allow poorer people to share the pleasure of attending their football clubs games.

Why would they do that?

Premier League football matches are sold out every game

Your attempts to implement socialism in the UK are a little obvious....maybe try a different strategy or move to Venezuela

I'm sure you're right.

The Tories love to boast and grandstand about "How the Conservatives are the party of personal responsibility". Especially when lecturing others how to behave.

When it comes to Tories taking responsibility for their own actions, they have BSE. Blame Someone Else.

There is a global economic crisis meaning there are many factors out of the control of the current Tory government.

Oh dear. Do you not know the UK and the USA are still trading with each other just like they were before the UK left the EU?

This is about the markets reacting to the 'mini budget' of last week.

Have you not heard the statement from the BoE?

Why are you having a go at Anna?

Shouldn't you directing your fire at the Tory government? Or is that too close to home?

The reason why I have asked  is because some posters want the poorest in society to be helped and this is a way it could be achieved easily.

There is constant mention of the wrongs of having the rich whilst we have the poor also . This way the rich could help the poor.

Personally? Yes I do.

I don't know much about football, but I know it used to be the sport of the working man, and they loved attending matches together on a Saurday.

Now they can no longer afford it.

So another simple pleasure that's been taken out of their reach because it's beyond their pocket. There's not going to be much left at this rate....
