The Stigma Of Being On Benefits

Why is there one?

Sure there is a hard-core minority who abuse the system, deliberately staying on benefits longer than they should, claiming more than they should, outright lying when making a claim but I'd wager they are only a tiny fraction of claimants. Im sure most people hate being on them and want nothing more than to work, be productive and contribute to society.

So why is there a stigma around claiming benefits?

Because it’s used a distraction technique.

everyone look the other way and blame the people who are struggling and supposedly taking your hard earned taxes.

Provided that people on benefits don't drink (a luxury I choose to over-indulge in at my own expense), smoke (urgh) or have top of the range smartphones (guilty)/ oversized TVs (not guilty) then of course benefits are absolutely essential and should not be cut.

Only one person   trying to stir things up .^^^

Why are you such a conversation killer?

You stomp around this forum telling everyone that they are wrong all the time

Why don't you contribute instead of always trying to discredit people

Its a pathetic strategy to try and make your candle shine brighter by trying to blow other peoples out

Not blowing no candles out mate . Just know what I know . A poster makes claims that are false , gets pulled up on it then skulks of leaving that thread , till time passes. In the meantime starts another thread about something that makes them look righteous, when they’re not .

There is no such thing as fake news

Speak your truth and then move on

Anything else is fascism
