Those balls are to light , Its more like watching a rugby ball fly high into the sky .

Who ever thought it was good idea to make them lighter has never watched proper football when a toe ender could take the goalie into the net with it .

no idea how to cut and paste  ,,     Its all balls to me

It is a myth that the modern ball is lighter than the balls used in the past. Since 1937, the dry weight of the ball has been specified by Law 2: 14-16oz. Prior to that, the rules governing the ball’s dry weight specified something lighter – 13-15oz.

The older balls got heavier because they soaked up a lot of water and sludge.

People say we have a fantastic squad, then why haven’t we won anything.

The squad in 1990 was good too and had Gazza and brilliant Bobby Robson as manager.

1996 was a joy under Veneables and seeing Shearer and Sherringham partnership .

However,  despite great squads and some very good managers, England fall short.

May be its the mentality or something 🤔

Maybe we’re not as good as we think we are.
