To be fair, with the size of our Crimbo market, the Peace Gardens has enough room! Having been to Nottingham's and Manchester's in previous years, ours is the most pointless attempt at creating festive cheer. At least moving it to the Moor will attract more people for the beggars to pounch on.

bassett one
yeah i agree sheffield has a poor xmas market at the side of others, some citys have huge indoor markets and indoor funfairs ect, but we would need a big private company to pay for this and sheffield is well down the pecking order for xmas investment against other citys i presume. Anna B
I don't know why they don't blend it with more artisan craft and vintage stalls to make it more diverse and affordable for more people.

'Artisan' and 'vintage' aren't synonymous with 'affordable'...
bassett one
artisan and vintage and farmers market tend to be a bit more expensive, but i agree a farmers market at xmas would be great,a funfair like hulls or nottingham would bring big crowds as well, but sheffield is not a destination for private investment i dont think is it? I went to the moor market yesterday through side door and get some veg and fruit there but then walked earl/matilda way. Was at peace gardens for a little bit but thought maybe perhaps next year when the sun shines again, upper Furnival way was blocked by something weird. Orchard square was nice and quit, three employees in the bodyshop and while talking with them not a single other customer came at 11 am that is what meadowhall "used" to be like before few years ago. Oh I forgot parking was £6 for two hours but had no choice because had to do something else inportant on the way and was running late for that thinking oh one extra hour on it so what.
