Should There Be A Thread Limit Per Member Per Month?

Recommended Posts

An anti-spam filter would be prudent but should be limited by:

X amount of new threads within X amount of time, for example if a user created 3 threads within 1 hour/ 5 threads within 2 hours and tries to create a 6th within that 2hr time frame they are denied & suspended from creating new threads for 12 hours.

X amount of forum replies with X amount of time, for example 20 replies within an hour, 31st is denied and user isn't able to post for 2 hours.

These are just my personal choices for limits, I think only a true spammer would hit them.

I would also like to see a system where if a user has a post reported by multiple users that the forum hides the post from view & suspends the user from posting until the post has been reviewed and admin/moderators chose what to do.

I've belonged to and even operated forum(s) that have had anti-spam filters including the last system & I'm sure it's available as an addon for Invision boards

I think your a ******** and taking what i said the wrong way as usual, i meant the amount of threads you post on controversial subjects just to get a rise from people but post no personal input at all, just a link usually, or a video.

There's really no need to be rude and abusive. You could always just ignore the thread?

Maybe you should try that next time.

Standard behaviour from a (very small) number of contributors on here - I usually just ignore their childish practice
