The programme wouldn't get the contestants,  they wouldn't get out of bed for £5,000 would they?

Well they should change the format and open the show up to the general public, they would appreciate the 3 week experience rather these spoiled buggers.

It actually comes from the Romany word 'chavi', meaning child.

It’s used in a derogatory now tho, as Cressida says.

As Slinney says when we were teenagers we were sometimes called Chavy or Chabby,We hung around on Street corners trying to look tough , or we made a nuisance of our selves by doing daft things on the Estate , Kids growing up are the same the World over  although they seem to remain kids for longer these days , some of em never lift a finger work wise until the mid twenties , Then get better wages than those who graft after leaving school .

I'd go in the jungle for nowt Mr. Presley, just to show em how it's done...

I'd complete every trail, no problem, and I'd never be excempt on medical grounds...

And you'd never catch me Rooring.

I'd show the public a thing or two, and become famous.

Padders I certainly agree with you plus you would install the moral building humour that is always needed in situations where people live in close proximity, well done that Man, as Captain Manwearing would say. :hihi::thumbsup:
