Cell Tower Issues In S11 (Mobile Phone)

Has anyone had any issues with mobile phone signal and 4g connection being almost jon existent in the S11 area (specifically around the Parkhead/Silverdale School/Bents Green area?

 

About a month ago my service went from being very strong and reliable, then overnight it suddenly just all but disappeared. 

 

Initially I thought it might be a cell tower that went down and would soon be fixed, yet its been a month or so now and no improvement.

 

I've done the usual checks online for service reports and nothing has been reported.

 

I'm on the Virgin network, and the other people in my flat are also having this problem, even though they are on different networks to me.

 

Anyone with any insight?

A friend of mine lives in that area and has exactly the same issue on Virgin.

 

If you have an android phone you can get netmonster from the app store (there appears to be no iphone equivalent) and it tells you the tower you are connected to, where it is and what signal strength is coming off it.

 

Not that it will fix the problem but it might give you better evidence when you are talking to Virgin.
