harvey19
Last night I watched the Royal British Legions Festival of Remembrance . It was an impressive programme and a reminder that the quarrels on this forum are inconsequential when considering the reality of the experiences this Festival brings to our attention. Most of those who died in service of their country were in their twenties leaving families behind. Many suffered physical and mental life changing injuries. We should appreciate and enjoy our long lives and our families. R.I.P. all the service men and women from all countries of all colours, religions and races. Guest sibon
I agree with this entirely. We should always remember those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. We should also remember that some of those placing wreaths on the Cenotaph this morning are representatives of the class who sent those young men to war in the first place. PRESLEY
I have always said, Politicians around the world who send young Men and Women to War would think think twice if they had to go War aswell, hence I think they would be less Wars. Some of those families had close ties with Hitler , as well as the British fascist Mosley party of the day .
crookesey
If this tells us anything it’s NEVER AGAIN, as I’m certain the glorious dead would have agreed with, always remember jaw, jaw, jaw, not war, war, war.

harvey19
Can we please not bring politics into this thread and remember those that died and were injured serving their country never forgetting their families and friends.
