Inconsiderate Parking

So I was driving home along Bawtry road tonight. Its dark and raining which makes things tricky enough but when I round a bend I'm greeted with a set of headlights from a vehicle which is parked on the left facing towards oncoming traffic. Firstly I thought that was against the law or highway code or something. Secondly because of the way it was parked I had to drive on the opposite side of the road against oncoming traffic. I waited for an age until someone let me pass which is a pain but meh...

However my main gripe still stands.

Is it illegal to park facing oncoming traffic with your headlights on?

Cheers, I thought so.

I got it on my dashcam, I reckon I might send it off and see if anything comes of it.

Hopefully they'll get a fine or something and  they'll park their ambulance more considerately next time.

Yep. Some of the newer ones have wickedly bright headlights. I remember thinking, why leave your headlights on when your blue and red one are flashing like a Christmas tree??

To be fair I wouldn't park facing traffic with my headlights on so that's unlikely
