Reform Of The Nhs

Yes. A deliberate attempt to make the NHS outsource.

Then the government can boast how much it has given to the NHS, knowing it will bypass the NHS (because it can no longer provide the facilities, and go straight into the hands of the private companies that the chosen MPs and government cronies have shares in. And the rich just keep on getting richer.... clever eh? Isn't life grand!

And there are many more in the pipeline.

But you are not giving good reason as to why necessarily things shouldn't be outsourced.

You seem to be letting your absolute blind hatred of anything profit making skew you.

There are plenty of things that potentially could be done better, cheaper and more efficiently by other companies whose entire business is to provide X service or X product.

If for example, Starbucks can provide visitor coffee bars cheaper and better than some in-house catering facility without all the associated cost of staff, equipment, insurance, stock coming out of hospital budget... Why shouldn't it?

If a software company which has already got track record in providing a bespoke secure server for records management can provide a piece of kit to the NHS cheaper and more efficiently than some in-house IT bod spending 5 years and millions of pounds developing one. Why shouldn't they?

And just to confirm she's lost it - Boris is no longer in charge.

Well, he hasn't been in charge for a few weeks granted, but what was he booted out for? Oh yes corruption, croneyism and lies. Fancy that!

I've never said that either.

No,I've said many times I am a capitalist, not a neoliberalist. The two are as far apart as Starmer is from Marxist Communism. It's the criminals in the Tory party I can't stand.

You're correct, there re plenty of things that could be done better and cheaper and more efficiently by private enterprise. By all means give them contracts if they're good enough. But not to the Neoliberal Tory run Government owned mega companies like Serco,  Capita and Carillian, which between them have a finger in just about every pie going, and in which they (certain Tories) own sizable share interests as well as clawing in mega bucks salaries. Who do you think they give the contracts to and why?

Its bent.  And then also runs the accounting system and management. Totally bent.

Your last paragraph is proves it.

There was a perfectly good up and running Track and Trace system in many European countries, so why did the Tories give an enormous budget to Serco to reinvent the wheel and come up with its own system  -  which failed miserably, at a time when we taxpayers really couldn't afford it, and are paying for still?
