Sibon offered to give me a lift in his car to the picket lines.

He stipulated that I must sit in the back seat and not speak though !

The government and railway bosses are so concerned about safety that they want to dismantle safety rules on our railways.  The railwaymen want to keep them.

Please explain why we could afford to stick to safety rules right through the 20th century and all of a sudden,  we can't afford it any more in this bright modern age.
