Resident
8 months, suspended for 12 months & 12 month driving ban Let that soak in for a second then realise this is the sentence that Anna Sacoolas was given for MURDERING Harry Dunn then lieing about having diplomatic immunity before fleeing the country before it could be verified. THIS is the absolute disgrace that our justice system has become. https://news.sky.com/story/anne-sacoolas-former-us-spy-avoids-jail-over-death-of-teen-motorcyclist-harry-dunn-12764057 It's time our justice system was taken apart and rebuilt
m williamson
What happened was an absolute tragedy and his family will never get over it, but she didn't murder him. Murder is intentional killing or causing grevious bodily harm resulting in death.
The_DADDY
It wasn't murder. Yes the sentence seems laughable but his mum seems happy with the result. Alongside handing Sacoolas a suspended prison sentence, the judge, Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb, also ruled that she is disqualified from driving for 12 months. She told Sacoolas, who appeared in court via a video link from her lawyer's office in Washington DC, that while she remained in the US her sentence could not be enforced..... I didn't realise she was in court via video link ....
cressida
If she travels to the U.K. in the future it better had be or it wasn't worth the money spent on her case.

dsweetman
If this woman had been living in great britain the charge would have been .....causing death by dangerous driving.....and the sentence would (we hope, but not holding my breath!) have reflected the gravity of the offence. This is just another example of how our world has gone to the dogs!!! They should never be released from prison for what they did. That poor family....
leviathan13
And then there's the poor geezer on the latest series of 24 Hours in Police Custody - sentenced to 22 months for putting 2 thieving scum in hospital. They had records longer than your arm... but nothing for them because of their injuries, despite being found in a stolen car weeks after the incident!!! The system is broken!
