Don't over react to a little satire, Loob!  :)

Christmas is traditionally the time to indulge a little, and give.

Hope they don't shut it down again.

Here, I'll be up in the hills with extended family, a wood fire outside holding an old grill, chicken, pork, rice and beans, vegetables I don't recognize, all locally grown. I can brag the chicken is "free range", but that just means they wander around the village scratching for whatever they can find! Seem to be community property, if you can catch one!

For me it's heaven!

A Merry Christmas to all!

I’m hardly over reacting: merely dishing back, what is being oh-so-unsubtly dished out 😁

Like you said, “indulge and give”…and one shouldn’t give, if one isn’t willing to take also 🤗

I'm well OK with that!

Carry on!  :)

Serious question

Q: Are Yorkshire puddings part of a 'Christmas dinner'

Mrs Rockers family never served them.

(In their defence they would have had to come on a side plate if they had 🤣)

Yes: with Christmas Dinner.

No: only with Sunday Dinner.

Stay safe & eat well 8)

It was made, but never served in our house.

Ma would pour in in the bottom of the roast pan, and leave it there. It's too "sad" (never rose) she always said.

We had to go into the kitchen and scrape it up ourselves.

I was thinking about having Venison but its to Deer. :hihi:

Good thing anyway,  can't eat Bambi or Larry the lamb so it's traditional turkey though son says it's too dry and he prefers beef he'll have to make do with

a ready cooked chicken as the oven will be full - roast spuds take ages,  any tips?

Nothing like roast spuds, but if pressed for time and space, you could cheat, and nuke a couple of baked potatoes. (12 minutes)

With sour cream, chives and stuff!

I know what to suggest for dessert.
