I do have a second pension as it happens which I have paid into diligently for years. Just as well, or I'd be sticking my head in the gas oven (if I could afford the gas...) 

 

But remember I am of the generation where pension schemes were not always open to women, and sometimes they had to leave work if they married, and certainly stayed home to look after the children. Many paid the married women's stamp rather than full National insurance so were not entitled to a pension in their own right. So, many women of my age group do not have a second pension worth having, if at all. I know many of them.

 

As it is I am one of the Waspi women, and £40,000 out of pocket because I missed the new pension rate by weeks. Therefore my private pension simply pays for the shortfall.

👍 BTW the thums up is not to encourage you to stick your head in the gas oven!  Though I'd get that one in or some may complain.

 

I don't have another but I do get the full pension which only amounts to just over £9000!
