mike1961
This council has to be the most evil corrupt bunch of lying low life's on this planet. My son who is unemployed has fallen fowl of the forbidden zone otherwise known as the CAZ zone. His fine has now escalated to £980.00 ,he has asked if a payment plan is possible to which he received a reply stating that he could pay the full amount in 60 bday. Wow ,some payment plan that is. Absolutely disgusting, words cannot describe what I think of these excuse for human beings that are running this s*it show. SCC may you rot in hell ! Probably by entering the area multiple times, failing to pay multiple times, and then ignoring the letters for 70 quid multiple times. All of this whilst driving round with his eyes closed. In what though? I thought private cars were exempt (for now). What was he driving mike1961?

If it is I'd sell it and get a car if I were unemployed though. Almost a grand in fines could go a long way towards a cheap runabout.

Costs escalate very quickly once bailiffs are involved. Never ignore legally enforceable penalties.

His van was an ex police vehicle used for transportation if dogs( my son was a did trainer) his vehicle was kitted our with purpose built dogs crates fitted in the rear of the vehicle with air conditioning in the rear area for the well-being of thr dogs being transported in hot weather. He tried to apply for a hard to replace vehicle exemption as you can't just go and buy something like this but was told this exemption only applies to some HGV vehicles. I've only just found out about this as he has been scared to tell me. He's tried going to tribunal but they are not interested in listening so the fines have escalated. I run my own business and issue invoices for payment and if payment isn't made in 14 days an 8% surcharge is applied. The way that SCC escalate these fines is totally wrong and I would consider is extortion. 5 minutes ago, Planner1 said: It’s probably gone to bailiffs if a payment plan is involved.
