Bernard Street- Bernard Road -Effingham Road- Saville Street - Burngreave- Rutland Road- Infirmary Road

Less than 4 miles.

Less than 15 minutes

Causes a bit more pollution though as it takes longer than the direct route

I just find it a bit strange that the life expectancy of people in the UK increases year on year but yet we have all these pollution related issues in the background?.

Also it's a bit alarmist to say between 250 and 500 people die every year from pollution in sheffield.complete nonsense

Totally agree that banding about such figures is alarmist, unhelpful and clearly made up.

Any downward movement in life expectancy caused by air pollution would be hidden by upward movement due better healthcare, disease control, preventive care and treatments. Removal and reduction of some pollutants since the 50's will also have contributed.

I'm surprised that the government want us all to live longer as this would then put additional pressure on the health system, state pensions and long term residential care.

Pay a tenner or die from fumes after being stuck in traffic on rat runs . The choice is yours .

And 'increase pollution' in other areas/add to their costs - yep, really good idea.

But that's the plan.

Give it 2-3 years and suddenly there will be a report that the levels in the areas surrounding the current CAZ are now 'excessively polluted' and the zone will be extended.

It's almost carbon copy of what Kommandant Khan has done with ULEZ.

Ooooh steady on. That's still a conspiracy theory to some...
