Andrew Tate. What's Your Opinion?.

He exudes hatefulness.   If he was in a woman’s body, this would still be a hateful person.

I think the type of person who expresses their admiration for him online is the same type of person who likes to keep an aggressive looking dog.  They think it gives them a certain image and they want to provoke.

Some would say this type of person is insecure about their own masculinity so it’s a way of overcompensating.  Others would say they not very well educated and struggle with critical thinking.  Or perhaps they are just good old fashioned trolls.

Or, maybe, he offers something to disillusioned young men who are confused with all the negativity heaped on them by the world.

Show an interest in a girl, he's sexist. Don't show an interest, he's misogynist. If he's white he's automatically racist, regardless of his actions. If he doesn't show emotion he's an 'incel', if he does it's toxic because it's not the 'correct' emotion.

Young boys are being taught, not just that they CAN be a girl, but actually being guided towards it by liberal parents, in many cases. They are taught that success for them is wrong because they've obviously only gotten to the top because of their sex or race and that it's wrong, despite white boys in the UK doing worse in school than anyone else.

So, think what you like about Tate, but when he seems like a light in the darkness, the lonely, outcast and disillusioned are going to be attracted to what he's saying.

If people listened to what these boys had to say, actually listened to their plight and struggles instead of just ignoring them because of their sex and race and perceived 'privilege', then people such as Tate wouldn't have the influence.

Bingo.

As I've mentioned before why are the women making money on onlyfans by doing soft porn immune from criticism as surely that's not a good example to young girls. Is that not a form of radicalism?  Why are schools not concerned about this?  Or is that empowering because it a woman?

And why are incels ridiculed and made fun of? Shouldn't society be helping these lonely socially inept young men?  Or is it ok to make fun of young boys?

The hypocrisy is all over the place.

I own a Golden retriever and a Borsoi by the way.

And if masculinity is so toxic, why are women striving more and more to display those characteristics? Like in the 90s with the ladette culture.

Toxicity comes in all shapes and sizes.  Black, white, brown, x religion, y religion, no religion., rich, poor,  middle class, working class, upper class and yes male and female.  Of course there are toxic women, they are human beings just as men are.  There are toxic people, such as Andrew Tate who leech off people with insecurities for their own gain.  All of this ‘women trying to be like men’ nonsense is utter claptrap .

Careful, there... criticism of protected groups is -ist/-phobic these days.

I wonder how much you had to restrain yourself from putting a 'but' in your post...

Of course many women are trying to be like men, they just want all the good stuff and none of the bad. They want the roles that have been male dominated over time, but without the sacrifices those men have had to make.

Now, you'll probably say that 'gender is a social construct' (whatever that means) and claim that there's no such thing as male and female jobs, but it's funny how there is still a massive split of the sexes in certain jobs. More women want the prestige of the boardroom, but you don't see a massive push from the feminists to balance the numbers in the dirty, dangerous jobs.

Because they seem to think 'women' owe them something, which they really really don't.

Society would best help these lonely socially inept young men by steering them away from Andrew Tate types, and towards things like education, group activity, volunteering, reading, practical skills, the countryside, sport.

The idea that some petulant, inward-looking and talentless star-wars fan will learn to become a 'Player' is ludicrous.

And there you have the paradox that society has created - in one breath they are lonely and socially inept (nice language) and in the next they are petulant and talentless. How do you know they're talentless? And 'Star Wars fan' is a bit of a generalisation - most of the SW fans i know are perfectly 'normal'  everyday members of society who don't have any desire to shoot up a school etc.

Your post has basically just nailed the issue without you even realising it.

Brilliant, I literally pasted 'lonely and socially inept' in from Al Bundy's post.

Petulant = childish and sulky, this seems to be how incels are, and why they remain incels.

Talentless = they have nothing to offer to the world or to women. So they better get doing something about it, something from my list or from whatever list of meaningful things they can come up with.

The Star Wars bit was a bit of bait, that worked.

Yes, I nailed it.

Some properly angry, unhappy and mixed-up blokes on here.

It's frightening, and when combined with their politics, very illuminating.
