Andrew Tate. What's Your Opinion?.

Comparing top shelf porn mags to internet onlyfans is just ridiculous.

Do you think young girls watching and reading about these soft porn women on the internet with onlyfans accounts claiming to earn thousands of pounds per month will lead them open for exploitation?

Why is nothing being said about this rather than the a few snippets from videos by Mr Tate, who in the main gives positive advice about bettering your life?

Do you honestly think they do?

To me it seems obvious that selling a lifetime of dignity for a finite amount of cash is a poor idea. Have YOU tried to find out if Onlyfans is specifically mentioned in PSE lessons?

No it's not, it's pretty much the modern day equivalent.

I think you're obsessing over this as a distraction, but how would you suggest we reduce the harm?

Because this thread is about our opinion on Andrew Tate.

Well, luckily i had a family to turn to and who listened. I had interests that i was allowed to explore without ridicule, no matter how good or bad i was at them.

So, thankfully, i didn't turn into an 'incel' and am able to form positive relationships with women thanks to the positive female role models in my life. If i ever made a derogatory comment about women as a teen, my mum would talk to me about it and we'd discuss it like intelligent human beings.

These young men possibly don't have positve influences in their lives and to heap more negativity on them will only make it worse. If the world tells them they're nothing, then of course they're going to attach themselves to someone who says the opposite.

I've said what I think disenfranchised young males should do, and listed the kind of people they could turn to and expect to be listened to. What do you think society can provide these young people?

For instance I think we should have a society where young people upon starting their first job should have a hope of buying or renting a home, so they can grow up quicker. I think that young people should get more freedom and responsibility from an earlier age. I think that bullying and controlling men (and it's usually men) should be called out big time as they are terrible role models.

Absolutely.

And it’s one thing insecure young boys being taken in by AT, and another for people on here, that I strongly suspect are long past their first flush of youth, prattling on about AT like he’s some sort misunderstood genius.

Why are insecure young boys being taken in and why assume they are insecure? That's quite an assumption. He has millions upon millions of followers, are you assuming they are all being taken in?

Who has said he is a genius by the way?

I've said before, I think Tate is brash and would be high maintenance but he speaks a lot of sense. He says some things I don't agree with and absolutely he says things that are controversial for publicity but most of the videos I have seen are interesting and I can see why they resonate with so many.

It's the  same  reason why Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan are so popular, folk relate to what they say.

I own a Golden retriever and a Borsoi by the way just incase you missed it. Two of the most passive dogs around.

👍

Good post that 👌

I'd like to add that amongst his millions of fans a good proportion are female, my daughter being one of them. He has fans from all age ranges too so it's not just a 'young insecure boy' thing. That's a line usually spat out by people who believe what the media say and they haven't even met the guy.

It’s not about ‘baiting’ or it shouldn’t be anyway.  This thread has had some people, who are very probably old enough to know better, eulogising an individual who has made money out of leeching off insecure boys and young men.
I think the problem is that some people forget how they were as a young person and the mistakes they made.  And worries they had that seemed important at the time. And relationship problems. It’s all part of growing up and is pretty normal.  What is not good is a toxic person exploiting that for their own gain and spreading hate and blame.  The internet didn’t exist when many people on here were growing up so the likes of AT wouldn’t have such a platform.

Propaganda existed long before AT and the internet.

How do you think thevlikes of Hitler and the National Front gained followers??

Of course political propaganda existed before the internet.  But would someone like AT have made himself (in)famous so easily and made lots of money exploiting vulnerabilities?   The internet has opened up a whole new Pandora’s box for manipulative people.
I am very sympathetic to young people that end up turning to someone like him by the way.  But with age, should come wisdom, and the ability to see AT for what he is, not eulogise him.  Spreading hate helps no one.

And yet the likes of BLM spread hate, but to criticise them was called racism, regardless of their actions and politics.

This is why the likes of AT gain traction.
