metalman
According to Google maps, Station Road at Deepcar continues as a path called the Upper Don Trail and eventually joins up with a footpath that goes along the access road for Holmes Farm at More Hall just above Wharncliffe Side. The Ordnance Survey map doesn't show a path there. Does anyone know if this path actually exists, and is it walkable? Or is it something that's planned for the future? The Upper Don Trail website makes no mention of it and doesn't have any sort of map, but then it seems to concentrate on the stretch between Oughtibridge and the middle of town. I know there's an obvious way to find out but I thought I'd ask here first.
butlers
Long time since I was up there, but think it runs on one of the fire roads through the forest
metalman
That's Plank Gate presumably, which is up in the woods on the other side of the railway line.
crookesey
To the once station named the Deep Car, closed circa 1960.
Jim Hardie
Not sure what you’re asking. The Upper Don Trail joins the access road to Holmes Farm as you say. You can then either go left to stay on the UDT and on to Plank Gate or turn right to another junction where you can turn right again, walking parallel to Ewden Beck to the main road or turn left to the farm only.
