I think you hit the nail on the head Anna. These days kids lives revolve around their phones, their Instagram pages etc. It seems its all Me me me. 

In my day our lives revolved around the family, especially the elders.

Generation, society and education all have their part to play in re-introducing politeness, awareness of others' needs and bringing back some of the old-fashioned values that are so ridiculed and very sadly lacking.

Modern society has created a generation of selfish, entitled brats.

 

And it's only going to get worse.

 

I feel so sorry for the decent folk who will have to live through it.

It's the same when they sit on steps and stairs.  Some people need the handrails but they never sit in the middle, always the sides,

I feel the same about this as I do about  fit young people parking in the blue badge areas. Utterly selfish.
