hackey lad
Just now, Mister M said: Not necessarily no. But I baulk at the reality that a private equity firm, better known for laying gas pipelines, is involved in the care of vulnerable people. Totally agree with you , just don't know what the answer is .

Many of these private equity firms go into the care home business because they can make an astronomical amount from ripping people off. Where councils fail in their duty, sometimes they are 'taken over' by the Government. It should therefore be perfectly feasible where these companies also fail in their duties also to be taken over. As a kid in the early 60's I used to live near Hesley Hall - on the road between Doncaster and Tichill. It used to specialise in being a place for kids damaged by polio. The founders will be turning in their graves.

And the staff who abused the kids Indeed, when are we going to be told arrests have been made and trial dates set. For the perpetrators, the home owners, Ofsted, and anyone else who were told but chose to ignore (whistleblowers).
