Some people can gorge and gorge and sup owt but never put an ounce on.   METABOLISM.

Exactly. Up until I was about 60, I could eat all day - and not necessarily 'good' food - and I never gained/lost more than a pound a week. Since then, my metabolism has slowed and now a meal around lunch-time (1200-1400) will keep me going until late evening, and even beyond. However, I have still slowly gained 20-25lbs. And before anyone says I'm now overweight, my doctors are much happier with my current weight.

"maintaining a healthy weight requires physical activity to burn energy".      absolute ******

Why do you say that?

I can see that if you eat very little, you would need to exercise very little. But who wants to live like that?

because it's factually incorrect.

the exercise myth is why a lot of people fail to lose weight, it shouldn't be on the nhs website

the body burns energy whilst asleep or sat watching tv, it's balderdash
