However the search was moved to Morecambe Bay and the sea last week which is a long way from where the body has been found.

I'd been dreading this news, but expecting it nonetheless. Hope the family are given private space to grieve, and some of the public who've used social media to criticise the family just leave them alone.

Tides meaning that it is a tidal river and so the current flows both ways twice a day. First, it's flowing to the sea and then next, it's flowing back inland. It must have moved the poor lady's body about quite a lot. Edited February 20, 2023 by Organgrinder

Stating he was not asked to look in the reed bed is outrageous. 7 minutes ago, Organgrinder said: Tides meaning that it is a tidal river and so the current flows both ways twice a day. It is most likely according to experts on the television today that the poor lady's body moved only way and that was a mile towards the river estuary. In that case, they should have found her sooner then.

Tbh if it wasn't, it still would have been a body, someone's family member possibly etc That would only open up further speculation and drag on. At least the family can now mourn privately and the two girls slowly be told their mother is gone. It will now be a wait to find cause of death and especially if any toxicology reports show anything. Is this the bloke who said that if body was in the river he would 100% find it?
