Vegan Restaurants/Eateries In Sheffield, Open On A Monday

A lot of restaurants will be closed on Monday, vegan or not.  Also depends if you want lunch or dinner.

Although you could try Hungry Buddha in the market, they do a Nepalese vegan thali for about £7 which is excellent value, though not strictly speaking a restaurant... they also do meat dishes. Only open from about 11 till 2 ish.

There's Wawin in New Era Square which does vegan Chinese food. Open from 4pm

Middle Eastern Shawarma on London Road do a falafel plate/wrap alongside houmous and fries etc.  Great value and very tasty.  They also serve meat.  Open from about 11am till 9pm ish I think.

For a takeaway,  Fanoush also on London Rd do vegan falafel wraps which are tremendous. Open from about 11am. Some of the stuff is vegetarian,  ie haloumi cheese.

thanks , this is helpful 👍, just  a quick query, where is New era square? that is looking like the best bet, is it a take away or restaurant?

It's between Bramall Lane and Boston Street. It's more of a takeaway but they do have a sort of breakfast bar with chairs against the windows. A nice spot but not a 1st date type place or owt like that.  Think you'd pick up your food from the counter rather than table service.

I've had 3 takeaways from there... all spot on.

Maveli on Glossop Road open at 5. They have a vegan Indian menu. I'm an omnivore but had their Erissery - squash and black eyed beans and it was delicious. Lovely Dosas.  Great meat dishes as well. Don't try the alcohol free Cobra.

I know this is well after your friend's visit in March, but I've only just come across this thread. For future reference South Street Kitchen on the ground floor of the Park Hill flats is worth a try (only until 4pm, though: they open for lunch every day but only on Friday evenings). Or the Fat Cat pub on Kelham Island.
