Will Sheffield Get This Deep Snow?

Recommended Posts

reading the papers and been on line we are supposed to get a extreme cold snap with deep snow, but why do they predict this ,but leave you not knowing where it will be,seems a good idea to predict, but no good to gardeners ect ,with such lack of details apart from late feb, early march.

Where - Northern Scotland? I have just checked the current 16-day forecast, and apart from Saturday which is showing a slight possibility of 1-2mm (i.e. nothing), yes, it is going to be chilly, but nothing unusual for mid/late February.

The answer is either:

a. yes; or

b. no.

The weather is inevitably changeable. Get used to it and the unreliability of anyone guessing the future.

My source is a little more reliable than cracked crystal ball, but you are correct - it is very difficult to make long, or even medium, range predictions
